“ We are not from Missouri. We are traveling through town home from vacation. We stopped for the night and needed dinner. All the restaurants in town seem to be excellent. This made choosing hard. We chose The Dugout because it was close to our hotel and the owner of the hotel had posted a positive review. We were not disappointed! The food was great! The service was awesome. Shout out to STACEY! Bingo was fun. I highly recommend this place. Be aware that if you walk in the door by the open sign, there is a step down. Don't almost miss it like I did. ”

“ Great Place! I am a Hotel owner of the Fairbridge Inn in Monroe City and send guests to the Dugout all the time. My wife and I dined there last night and I had bacon cheese fries and a double cheeseburger and she had a grilled ham sandwich and onion rings. The food is delicious! The Frog Legs are the best we had in ages. I am glad they brought them back to the menu. I will continue recommending the place and have menus in my hotel to hand out to our guests whom are looking for a good place to eat. Great customer service! ”
